Atlantic Tool & Die - Alabama named 2008 Outstanding Automotive Supplier

Atlantic Tool & Die – Alabama (ATD-AL), located in Anniston, Ala., has been recognized by the Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association as the 2008 Outstanding Automotive Supplier in Alabama. A first-tier supplier to Honda Manufacturing of Alabama, ATD manufactures metal stampings from progressive and transfer dies up to 1,200 tons and performs full-service assembly including robotic welding.

Alabama Industrial Development Training and Alabama Technology Network assessed five automotive suppliers using an assessment tool developed by Toyota, scoring them from 1 to 6 in 15 categories. ATD-AL scored a perfect 6 in the categories of disaster recovery, supply chain management, information flow, process flexibility, 5S, and shipping management.
