Rockford Toolcraft acquires flying-optic laser cutting system

Rockford Toolcraft Inc., a tool and die builder and metal stamper in Rockford, Ill., has acquired an Amada LC-F1NT series laser cutting machine. The 6,000-W LC4020 flying-optic laser uses linear drives in all three axes. It features a 6-ft. by 12-ft. shuttle table with the ability to cut steel up to 1-1/4 in. thick.
According to Sales Manager Doug Kosch, the new laser allows the company to perform all types of heavy-gauge fabrication, from long production runs of stamped parts to short runs of laser-cut parts.
