Tube and pipe industry expert dies
Ron Stange, owner and founder of Tools For Bending Inc., Denver, died Dec. 3.
Stange began his career in the tube and pipe fabrication industry when he joined the H&H Tool Division of Teledyne Pines in 1955. He founded Tools For Bending in 1965. Known for prolific and quality articles on tube bending, Stange said his personal mission was to educate the industry to achieve higher standards of quality, precision, and profitability.
Stange retired in 1997 and left the day-to-day operation of the business in the hands of his son, Eric.
Stange won the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International®'s Education Award in 1983 and FMA's highest award, the Award of Excellence, in 1988.
