TRUMPF announces management changes

TRUMPF Inc. has appointed Peter Grollmann as the new product manager for laser marking. He is responsible for managing TRUMPF's laser marking products in North America.

An electronics and optical engineer, Grollmann has more than 12 years of experience in technology-driven industries. Most recently he worked at a Swiss optics company as head of the laser business unit and was responsible for international sales.

The company also has announced that Jens Bleher is the new managing director of TRUMPF Laser- und Systemtechnik GmbH, Ditzingen, Germany.

Bleher studied mechanical engineering and business administration. From 1994 to 1997 he worked for AT Kearney Management Consultants, Germany. From 1997 to 2000 he was head of laser marking at TRUMPF Laser Gmbh + Co. KG, Schramberg, Germany. He has been managing director of TRUMPF Laser Marking Systems AG in Switzerland since 2000.

Martin Benzinger, Bleher's predecessor as managing director, now is vice president, TRUMPF Group and executive vice president, East Asia. He remains a member of the TRUMPF Group management board, to which he was appointed in 1988. Benzinger has worked for the company since 1978.

Eckhard Meiners, who has been with the company since 2000, replaces Bleher as managing director of TRUMPF Laser Marking Systems AG, Grsch, Switzerland. Meiners studied space and aerodynamics and has a PhD in laser engineering. From 1994 to 1999 he was head of R&D at the Wetzel Processing Group in Germany.

Meiners' successor as director of international sales, laser systems in the TRUMPF laser technology division is Klaus Loeffler. Loeffler worked for TRUMPF from 1995 to 2002, most recently as the director of the Laser Technology Center in Detroit.
