TRUMPF celebrates 10 years in Mexico

TRUMPF Inc., Farmington, Conn., has announced that TRUMPF Mexico is celebrating 10 years in business.

TRUMPF filed its registration to do business in Mexico on June 6, 2000, to better service an existing customer in that market. Additional assignments soon came along, such as automotive projects, which gave the company a customer base in the northern part of the country and also in Puebla, which is located east of Mexico City. This activity prompted the company to locate its operations in the German Center in Mexico City.

In the early days the operation was limited to sales and service. Today the location serves as a manufacturing hub for TRUMPF Inc. and is located in a 64,000-sq.-ft. facility in the Apodaca Technology Center in Monterrey. The sales, service, demonstration, and production areas are housed in this $10 million manufacturing facility, which opened in March 2007 and includes a 4,200-sq.-ft. showroom.
