Pines Technology, a Westlake, Ohio-based manufacturer of pipe bending machinery, has shipped a No. 6 heavy-duty rotary hydraulic bending machine to Morris Coupling, Erie, Pa., for its Knoxville, Tenn., facility.
The machine is equipped with a Dial-A-Bend SE PLC that stores up to 1,000 different bending programs. It handles pipe and tubing up to 8 in. OD in a variety of wall thicknesses. It features clockwise rotation, an electric solenoid-actuated hydraulic circuit controlled from a push-button operating station, and cushioned hydraulic cylinders.
The machine is fitted with a long-stroke mandrel extractor that has electric tangent and centerline radius adjustment.
Morris Coupling manufactures bent components for pneumatic conveying systems, exhaust systems, and heat exchangers. Its products include short- and long-radius bends from 1.5 to 8 in. OD and bend radii from 2.5 to 72 in.
