EFD Induction receives order from European pipemaker for welding machine
EFD Induction, based in Skien, Norway, has announced that it has been selected by a large European tube and pipe manufacturer to design, build, and install a single-cabinet, 750-kW, 200-kHz Weldac welding machine.
The machine will weld profiles in various dimensions, as well as tubes up to 6.30 in. dia. The system will comprise a customized 3-axis positioning table, several part-specific coils, and a cooling water system. It will include additional chillers and heat exchangers to handle an on-site water supply that reaches close to 104 degrees F in summer.
This is the largest single-cabinet welding machine the company has ever produced.
