Lincoln Electric pipeline welding seminar scheduled for October

Lincoln Electric will offer a free pipeline welding seminar for contractors and professionals in the pipeline industry. The two-day session will take place on Monday, Oct. 11, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 12, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the company’s corporate headquarters in Cleveland.The seminar will focus on the growing demands in energy markets, rehabilitation of existing infrastructure, construction of new cross-country and subsea pipelines, as well as new developments for improved safety, productivity, and quality.
Topics will include solutions to common pipeline welding challenges; understanding and minimizing hydrogen cracking; and the effects of welding essential variables, including heat input, on weld properties.
The seminar also will include a guest speaker from the U.S. Department of Transportation's Pipeline Hazardous Materials Safety Administration.
Sessions will be followed by demonstrations of the latest pipeline welding techniques, equipment, and consumables. Tours of the company’s manufacturing facilities will be included.
