Plymouth Tube receives AME Manufacturing Excellence Award

Plymouth Tube Co.'s West Monroe, La., tubing mill has received a 2010 AME Manufacturing Excellence Award. The mill was chosen for excellence in its seamless and welded stainless steel tube production operations.
The mill manufactures XtraLowStress® stainless steel feedwater heater tubing, which offers the lowest possible residual stress for feedwater heaters in the power generation market, the company reports.
Plymouth Tube Co., based in the Chicago area, has 11 manufacturing mills across the U.S.
