January 19, 2012

Northwest Pipe Co., Vancouver, Wash., a producer of engineered welded steel pipe products, has announced plans to expand its Saginaw, Texas, manufacturing facility. The expansion will enable the company to serve the needs of anticipated large water projects in the area.

The capital improvement project will include a mill expansion to increase the company's spiral welded steel pipe capacity to 126 by 1 in. The project also includes two new buildings, upgraded hydrostatic testing equipment, extended cement mortar lining capabilities, and new ID and OD paint equipment. The project is expected to be complete in 2013.
