Marcegaglia USA completes galvanized tube mill upgrade

Marcegaglia USA has completed a mill upgrade in its Munhall, Pa., facility for its galvanized tube and pipe products. The upgrade, which focused on improving the remetallizing process and the clear coat systems, is expected to provide enhanced corrosion resistance for applications including fencing, conveyors, scaffolding, animal confinement, and outdoor enclosures.
Marcegaglia USA produces galvanized, stainless steel, duplex, and nickel-alloy pipe and tubing in rounds, squares, and rectangles. National sales group Phillips Metals Inc., Chicago, is responsible for the marketing of Marcegaglia's galvanized tube product.
