Zhejiang Kingland orders spiral pipe welding line

Zhejiang Kingland Pipe Industry, province of Zhejiang, China, has ordered offline spiral pipe welding equipment from PWS GmbH, Germany, an SMS Meer company.

The integrated system will consist of a spiral pipe forming and tack-welding machine for forming and initial welding of hot-rolled steel strip, as well as three downstream, offline finish-welding stands.

With the equipment, Zhejiang Kingland will be able to produce pipes from 20 to 64 in. OD in thicknesses from 0.25 to 1 in. The new installation is to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2013.
