Universal Tube & Rollform to build tube mill for Stephens Pipe & Steel

Stephens Pipe & Steel LLC, a manufacturer and distributor of fence materials in the U.S. and Canada, has commissioned Universal Tube & Rollform Equipment Corp., Perrysburg, Ohio, to build a 4-in. tube mill using both new and used materials. The Ardcor rafted tube mill will be used to produce tubes up to 4 in. dia. at Stephens Pipe & Steel’s Russell Springs, Ky., plant.
The rebuilt mill will include used stands, side closers, weld pressure, and bases, as well as a new scarfing unit, raft plates, Turk's heads, shift boxes, gearboxes, and controls made by Universal Controls Group.
