ASMAG to build drawing/finishing line for U.S. customer

Tube manufacturing machinery and equipment producer ASMAG USA Inc., Schaumburg, Ill., has announced that a U.S. customer has placed an order for a complete drawing and finishing line for manufacturing precision steel tubes. The customer is expanding and needs to increase manufacturing capacity and automation.

The drawing line, to be built by ASMAG GmbH in Scharnstein, Austria, will comprise an automated tube separation and feeding unit, a hydraulic pointing press, a triple draw bench, a sample saw, and tube transportation. The finishing line will include a 10-roll, high-precision tube straightener; a testing table; a multiple sawing line; chamfering; visual inspection; and a fully automatic stacking, bundling, and banding system.
