Bronx International secures Chinese contract

Bronx International Inc., the parent company to Bronx/Taylor-Wilson and Abbey International Ltd., has been awarded a contract to design, manufacture, and install a 630-mm ERW pipe mill and finishing line for Kingland Petroleum-Gas Pipeline Co. Ltd., Huzhou, City, China. The production line, which is scheduled for installation in fall 2004, will produce and finish line pipe and casing with an OD of 219 mm to 610 mm and wall thicknesses up to 19 mm. The line also will be capable of producing structural and mechanical round pipe and tubing.

The line will employ Abbey International’s Transition Beam Forming Section (TBS®). Bronx/Taylor-Wilson will provide an automatic hydrostatic pipe testing system capable of test pressures from 69 to 800 bar.
