Steel Tube appoints quality assurance and safety manager
Statesville, N.C.-based Steel Tube Inc. has appointed Steve Davis to head its quality and safety department. Davis has 33 years of experience in manufacturing, working for both small companies and large corporations. He also is an entrepreneur, having owned and operated two small businesses.
"My first order of business will be to establish quality standards related to Steel Tube's new UV coating line, tube cutting, and end finishing/deburring technology, as well as safety procedures for material handling in their expanded warehouse,” Davis explained.
The company manufactures mechanical and structural steel tubing, producing ASTM A513 steel and galvanized steel tubing, Type 1 and Type 2, in squares, rectangles, rounds, and ovals.
