T&H Lemont installs two stainless steel tube mills
T&H Lemont, Countryside, Ill., has installed two WU11M-11 quick-change stainless steel tube mills.
The integrated mill systems can produce inline-bright-annealed products in diameters from 0.250 in. (6.4 mm) to 1 in. (25.4 mm) and wall thicknesses from 0.020 in. (0.5 mm) to 0.065 in. (1.6 mm).
Each mill features an accumulator, tricathode weld system, three-motor AC drive, and additional cassettes tooled for quick changeover. A rotary cutoff for cut-to-length product as well as an automatic tube recloiler also are included.
