Villacero launches Villacero Commercial Intl., upgrades Tex-Tube plant

Villacero, Monterrey, Mexico, has formed a global business venture, Villacero Commercial Intl. (VCI), to focus on North American and international expansion opportunities. The venture represents a major investment by the company in its marketing efforts, Villacero reports.

Based in Houston, VCI is responsible for the performance and sales activities of a core of market-oriented companies and business partners. Businesses owned by the VCI conglomerate include Tex-Tube, S&P Steel Products, and Best Border Cargo.

Tex-Tube recently completed an upgrade to its facility in Houston, installing a line saw, bevelers, hydrostatic testers, additional ultrasonic testing equipment to test material after it is hydrotested, and a complete inline package for standard pipe.

Other plant upgrades include the capability to produce triple-random-length material and improvements in lacquering standard pipe.
