Ulbrich marks 90 years in business
Ulbrich Stainless Steels & Special Metals Inc., North Haven, Conn., celebrates its 90th anniversary in 2014. Founded in 1924 by Frederick Christian Ulbrich Sr., the company was a small metal scrap processing center in Wallingford, Conn. Today the company employs 700 people at 12 locations worldwide.
The family-owned company is led by Chairman of the Board Fred Jr., son of founder Fred Sr., and CEO Chris, grandson of Fred Sr. Ulbrich provides strip, flat wire, shaped wire, foil and ultra-lite foil®, and sheet product forms to the stainless steel and special metal markets.
