United Performance Metals installs slitting line

United Performance Metals, a supplier of stainless, nickel, cobalt, aluminum, and titanium sheet, coil, plate, and bar in Hamilton, Ohio, has added an 18-in. turret head slitter that can slit coils from 0.020 to 0.125 in. thick.

The slitter features a pressure bar system that eliminates scratching and helps reduce camber. The interchangeable rewind drum is capable of 16- or 20-in.-ID options.
