Thermadyne appoints automation business managers

Thermadyne Industries Inc., St. Louis, a manufacturer of cutting and welding products, recently appointed Charlie Fischer, Mark Powers, and Barry McCarter as automation business managers.

Fischer is responsible for the Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky region. He has worked in the welding industry for more than 30 years and has a background in robotics. Fisher's business experiences include founding and owning his own welding distributorships.

Powers is responsible for the region covering North and South Dakota, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. He has 20 years of experience in the industry and has worked with companies such as OTC Daihen and Tregaskiss, as well as Tier 1 automotive manufacturers. Powers has received GMAW and SMAW certification from the Canadian Welding Board and CWI certification through the AWS.

McCarter has worked for multiple companies, holding positions as automation sales specialist, senior tool design engineer, project manager, senior designer, and liaison engineer. His region covers Oklahoma and Texas.
