Flow Intl. receives Mitsubishi supplier award

Flow Intl. Corp., Kent, Wash., a developer and manufacturer of ultrahigh-pressure (UHP) waterjet technology, has been awarded the B787 Excellent Suppliers award from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI). Flow says it is the first American company to receive the award.
Flow delivered the first wing box for the new Boeing 787. The company produced the wing box using its waterjet technology. MHI awarded Flow based on its composite waterjet capabilities and commitment to serving the aerospace industry, Flow reports.
