Anderson-Crane has installed a waterjet cutting system at its Litchfield, Minn., fabrication facility manufactured by Jet Edge Inc., St. Michael, Minn. Bringing waterjet cutting in-house, the company now can cut complex, finished-quality parts from almost any material, but focusing primarily on mild and stainless steel.

The midrail gantry system features an 8- by 13-ft. work envelope and SigmaNEST® Companion CAD/CAM nesting software. It is powered by a 60,000-PSI, 50-HP Jet Edge iP60-50 waterjet intensifier pump and has an Ebbco closed-loop water filtration and chilling system.

Anderson-Crane manufactures material handling equipment, including screw conveyors, screw feeders, and bucket elevators, as well as hoppers, bins, and gates. In addition to manufacturing its own products, the company operates as a local job shop, building structural equipment for local businesses and molds for the plastics industry. It also offers metal repair services.
