Flow establishes manufacturing and technology center

Flow International Corp., Kent, Wash., a developer and manufacturer of industrial waterjet machines for cutting and cleaning applications, has announced plans to establish a facility for designing and building its waterjet systems, which include large aerospace systems and robotic waterjet cutting cells.

Located in Jeffersonville, Ind., the Advanced Waterjet Systems Center will be an expansion of the company's existing facility there. It will include engineering, production, and an interactive customer demonstration center.

As part of its plan, Flow will close its manufacturing facility in Burlington, Ont., and move the Burlington facility's robotic waterjet cells and slitter systems production to Jeffersonville. The company will maintain its Ontario-based sales and technical services team to continue offering local support to its Canadian customers.
