Hypertherm adds cities to 2014 live training tour

Hypertherm, a Hanover, N.H.-based manufacturer of plasma, laser, and waterjet cutting systems, has added several new cities to its 2014 live training tour on advanced cutting topics. Cities added are Dallas-Fort Worth; Tulsa, Okla.; Atlanta; and Houston. The 8-hr. workshops are offered at no charge to people who cut metal and other industrial materials.

The company will present ProNest Power User, a training session designed for programmers using or interested in ProNest software, in Dallas-Fort Worth on July 31 and Tulsa on Sept. 16. The training will include advanced, process-specific programming techniques for plasma, laser, oxyfuel, and waterjet cutting, as well as tutorials on integrating the software to an ERP/MRP system, synchronizing work order flow and plate inventory, and maximizing material utilization efficiency.

The company will offer two-day training sessions in Atlanta on Sept. 17-18 and Houston on Sept. 18-19: Advanced Productivity Training on day 1 and ProNest Power User on day 2. Advanced Productivity Training is presented by Jim Colt, a 35-year Hypertherm veteran, and Dan McLenithan, a product and application engineer specializing in CNC and torch height controls. Colt will show attendees how to inspect their plasma consumables properly and offer tips to increase consumable life. McLenithan will cover a number of performance strategies employed by some of the best fabricators and steel service centers in North America.
