WARDJet hosts second annual open house

WARDJet hosted its second annual open house event on Oct. 8 at its facility in Tallmadge, Ohio. Employees talked one-on-one with visitors, gave facility tours, and performed waterjet cutting demonstrations.

At the event, the company debuted its WARDKit line of waterjets. Offered in 2- by 2-ft., 5- by 5-ft., and 5- by 10-ft. sizes, the machines provide a waterjet system in kit form. Visitors were able to put on a set of augmented reality glasses that used projected text and images to instruct them on how to assemble the Z-carriage components step-by-step.

Also demonstrated were the multipurpose abrasive waterjet robot and the Z-2543-5, which cut a variety of materials only with water to demonstrate 5-axis capability.
