Xiris names Kent Corp. as sales agent

Xiris Automation Inc. has announced that Kent Corp., North Royalton, Ohio, is the exclusive North American sales agent for the Zume product family. Scheduled for launch in October, Zume is an optical system that monitors key process parameters on ERW/HFI tube mills before and after the weld station. It is designed to enable quicker responses and decisions and SPC analysis to increase efficiency and yield.

Len Steinmeyer, president of sales for Kent Corp., added, "It is exciting to be directly involved in something new for the tube industry. It will actually monitor and show in real time what is changing in the weld zone, primarily V angle and mismatch of edges. This will allow the operator to make changes on-the-fly and immediately see the results."
