Five lines of PPE introduced

3M offers five new lines of PPE: SecureFit protective eyewear, Peltor X series earmuffs, the H-800 series full-brim hard hat with a Uvicator sensor, Safety Sunwear sunglasses, and the Peltor WS series headsets with Bluetooth® wireless technology.
The protective eyewear is made with proprietary pressure diffusion temple technology so that the temples naturally adjust to individual head sizes. The earmuffs have a new ear cushion foam technology and earcups that tilt for efficiency and comfort. An electrically insulated twin headband design reduces heat buildup and provides five different levels of noise-exposure protection.
The hard hat provides four- and six-point ratchet suspension combinations and an optional Uvicator sensor that changes from red to white as the hard hat is exposed to UV light. The sunglasses come in 10 different styles and two different lens coatings to provide eye protection that can be modified into regular sunglasses.
The headsets allow workers to communicate, listen to music, and talk on the phone, all without removing their headset. Each headset amplifies lower-level sounds, like voices, while attenuating higher-level sounds, like those found in the workplace, and limits exposure to 82 decibels.
