Green technology for tube end forming reduces energy, oil usage
AddisonMckee has introduced Hydra Green technology in its new HG70 series of tube end formers. The hydraulic equipment features a pump that is in operation only when there is a demand for pressure and flow. This helps to cut noise and energy usage in half compared to traditional hydraulic circuits and cuts oil usage by 65 percent, according to the manufacturer.
The variable speed of the servo pump can be used to control oil flow rate and machine speed. Since the system naturally sits in a low-energy state when the machine is idle, not generating pressure or flow, operator safety is enhanced.
