Gas stream purifiers provide early warning of impurities

Airgas Inc.'s Smart Indicating Purifiers, designed to purify a laser cutter's gas stream and protect the laser resonator, provide early warning of impurities to help prevent gas stream contamination.

If the gas contains contaminants, or if contaminants enter the gas stream during cylinder changeout, the purifier media begins to turn color. When the purifier depletes, the cartridge is changed easily with a patented quick-change base, which allows the user to change the purifier without interrupting gas flow.
