Push-pull aluminum welding gun has enhanced feeding performance

The XR-Aluma-Pro™ from Miller Electric Mfg. Co. incorporates an aluminum series-specific tension setting to optimize feeding performance on 4000 and 5000 series aluminum and to help solve problems caused by burnback and arc fluctuations.

Designed to eliminate the need to use a water-cooled gun when welding aluminum up to 3/8 in., the air-cooled version is the first push-pull gun rated at 300 amps at 100 percent duty cycle, states the company. A water-cooled version, rated for welding thicker aluminum at 400 amps at 100 percent duty cycle, also is available.

The gun can be combined with the company's Millermatic® 350P or an XMT® 350 with an XR™ control.
