Deburring machine addresses finishing challenges

The new Loewer DiscMaster SF series top and bottom deburring machine from AM Machinery Sales Inc. has been designed to address the problem areas most precision sheet metal and stamping shops have such as deburring up-formed parts and removing oxidation.

The machine is equipped with oscillating disc stations on top and bottom. The discs have many different abrasive types available, including wire brushes for oxidation removal. This new design eliminates the use of conveyor belts; it uses feed rollers instead to allow the deburring brush to penetrate beyond the material thickness, which allows the abrasive to sand the edges to meet edge-rounding requirements.

The ability to control all aspects of the machine allows for deburring of galvanized coated or laminate-coated material without harming the protective coating.
