Flux-cored wires suitable for less experienced welders

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products has introduced the Dual Shield X series of flux-cored wires. The wires are designed to be more forgiving than traditional flux-cored wires and are suitable for less experienced welders, the company reports.

The wires provide a range of operating parameters, high deposition rates, fast travel speeds, flat bead profile, limited spatter, and simplified slag removal. The series includes wires that can be used with CO₂or mixed gases, as well as wires for flat, horizontal, and all-position welding.

Intended for multiple welding procedures, the wires are suitable for applications from general fabrication to critical welding, including civil construction, shipbuilding, heavy equipment, offshore oil rigs, and railcar fabrication.
