Multipurpose robot line expanded

February 12, 2008

Nachi Robotic Systems Inc. has expanded the line of robots available in its Presto ST series with the ST70L and ST100 models.

The compact, multipurpose robots have load capacities that support the same range of applications as the existing ST models. Both of the new models are suitable for mounting new lightweight spot welding guns, while their allowable wrist torque can support large material handling grippers.

The robots also are suitable for compact systems and high-density/multilayered robotic installations. They have a 60,000-hour MTBF, as well as an optional integrated dress package.

Applications include spot and arc welding, material handling, machine load and unload, palletizing, sealing, and other repetitive tasks.
