Noncorrosive antispatter is readily biodegradable

Sunshine Makers Inc. has introduced Simple Green® antispatter. Nonflammable, noncorrosive, nonhazardous, and readily biodegradable, the solvent-free spatter-release product is safe for use around welded surfaces being prepared for painting and plating. It contains no silicon and is safe for aluminum and steel nozzles, diffusers, tips, and other surfaces adjacent to welding.

The spray-on product, which requires no dilution, is rinsed off with water after welding. Parts then are dried thoroughly before painting or plating. According to the manufacturer, the product offers the same surface compatibility tested under aircraft safety methods ASTM F1110, ASTM F484, ASTM F502, and ASTM F519-93.
