Power sources designed for medium to heavy-duty GMAW

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products has introduced the Origo MIG family of welding machines. The 320, 410, and 510 models are 230/460-V, three-phase, 60-Hz, step-switched power sources for medium to heavy-duty GMAW.
The welding machines offer a range of currents and voltages for use with a variety of filler metals and gases. Features include selectable inductance taps, simplified change of polarity, connection cable length up to 114 ft., and a digital meter that provides an accurate reading of the set welding parameters and will hold its display even after welding has finished. An idle mode allows the cooling fan to work only when needed.
The machines are designed to operate with the company's Origo Feed 304 wire feeder. This feeder features electronically controlled feeding, 2/4 stroke, adjustable burnback timer, creep start, and quick connectors. The wire feed unit sits on a swivel post mounted on the top of the welding machine, providing a 360-degree radius of operation.
The feeder is available with 1.8-in.-dia. feed rollers for wires up to 0.062 in. in diameter. The wire feed speed is from 31 to 1,000 IPM.
