Rolling inductor available with infrared temperature sensor
The ProHeat™ rolling inductor heating system from Miller Electric Mfg. Co. now is available with an optional infrared temperature sensor. The system is designed to distribute heat evenly into the workpiece.
Temperature measurement allows operators to set and achieve targeted preheat temperatures. The travel detection system reduces the potential for hot spots by controlling heating output based on travel speeds and turning off completely if the part is not moving.
Operators also now can monitor the temperature of the part from the power source meters to confirm it is within the required range. In some cases, this can assist operators with documentation.
