SMAW/GTAW inverter line expanded
- August 1, 2016
- Product Release
- Arc Welding
ESAB now offers an expanded line of single-phase SMAW/GTAW and AC/DC GTAW/SMAW inverters. Previously sold under the Thermal Arc and Tweco brands, the inverters now are labeled ET, ES, and Fabricator® series.
The company also has introduced the ET 141i AC/DC, which it says is the first 120-V inverter that provides an AC GTAW output for welding aluminum and high-frequency, noncontact arc starts for AC or DC GTAW.
The ET 186i AC/DC GTAW/SMAW and the ET 201i DC GTAW/SMAW systems are designed for welding thicker materials with full control over the processes. The 186i uses 208-/230-V primary current, provides AC/DC GTAW output up to 200 amps, and HF or Lift GTAW arc starts. The 201i DC uses 120-V or 208-/230-V primary current, delivers DC GTAW and SMAW outputs up to 200 amps, and provides HF and Lift GTAW arc starts.
The Fabricator series are three-in-one portable, integrated GMAW, SMAW, and GTAW systems. The Fabricator 141i offers 10 to 140 amps of power for GMAW and Lift GTAW and 90 amps for SMAW.
