Concealed-head studs provide strong, permanent, reusable threads for thin-metal assembly

PEM® self-clinching, concealed-head studs and standoffs from PennEngineering® provide strong, permanent, reusable threads for mating hardware in thin-metal assembly applications.

Their design allows the side of the sheet opposite installation to remain smooth and untouched. It also is suitable for applications in which the host sheet must remain completely sealed from air, liquid, dust, gases, or other potential contaminants.

The concealed-head studs and standoffs install permanently in steel or aluminum sheets as thin as 0.062 in. The aluminum and stainless steel studs are available in thread sizes #4-40 through #10-32 and M3 through M5 in lengths from 0.25 to 1 in. and 6 to 25 mm. Stainless steel standoffs are offered in thread sizes #4-40 through 1/4-20 and M3 through M6 in lengths from 0.187 to 1 in. and 4 to 25 mm.
