Fastener designed for prepainted metal

AKH Inc. has introduced the painted FAS-NER® that allows fastener insertion into prepainted metal. The color is matched to the color of the painted assembly, eliminating postpaint operations.

The fastener systems unit eliminates the need for spot welding and riveting. The punch and die operation automatically feeds, punches, inserts, and locks the self-piercing unit to produce a solid joint in one high-cycle operation.
