Floating, self-clinching nuts designed for stainless assemblies

PennEngineering® offers PEM® floating, self-clinching nuts for stainless steel assemblies to help simplify mating-hole alignment for design flexibility in relaxed-tolerance applications. The fasteners can be specified either with nonlocking or self-locking threads, permitting up to 0.015-in. minimum float in all directions from center.

The fasteners install in stainless sheets as thin as 0.038 in. with hardness of HRB 88 or less on the Rockwell B scale. Available thread sizes for both types are from #4-40 through #10-32 and M3 through M5.
