Adaptive gripper processes irregular parts

May 9, 2013

Robotiq has introduced the 2-Finger Adaptive Gripper - 200. The electric gripper has been designed for processing large, irregular parts and high changeover rates in industries such as automotive part manufacturing, foundry, metal fabrication, and heavy machinery shops.

The servo gripper can be installed on any industrial robot. It features a programmable 7.87-in. stroke to pick various part sizes, high grip force to handle heavy parts, grip detection and real-time finger position feedback, and control of finger speed and force. Three gripping modes — parallel, encompassing, and internal — are available for handling different part geometries.
