Industrial PC has large touch panel for 3-D modeling

FANUC FA America has introduced the new Panel i 19-in. industrial PC with color LCD and new touch panel.
The PC uses solid-state drives (SSDs) rather than standard hard drives. It features Windows® Embedded instead of a desktop operating system, allowing the operating system to be locked down for security against viruses. The touch panel's large area makes it suitable for 3-D modeling of part programs and for showing CNC operation.
Additional features include enhanced CPUs and graphic capabilities for the larger display that address the needs of high-performance machining applications, the company reports.
