Parallel grippers handle long tooling, heavy parts

PHD offers series GRK low-profile parallel grippers. They feature the highest grip force in their class, according to the manufacturer, and provide a high moment load capacity to handle long tooling and heavy parts.

The ultrarigid, wear-compensating jaw guide system is designed to eliminate free play and provide precise jaw tolerances. Magnetic sensing for teachable position switches is available to help simplify setup and integration. The spring-assist option can be specified to provide a mechanical method of retaining parts on jaw open or closed. Four sizes are available, with two jaw travel lengths for each size.

Other features include true parallel jaw motion, double acting for internal or external gripping applications, metric or imperial mounting threads or ports, and multiple mounting locations.
