Rail-guided bridge gantry handles larger components

March 4, 2013

Reis Robotics offers a newly developed rail-guided bridge gantry for applications from ship- and bridge-building to general steel construction. The bridge gantry allows a freely programmable work envelope up to 442.91 by 41.01 by 9.84 ft. for arc welding, resistance welding, and laser welding technology, as well as gluing and general processing tasks.

All axes of the gantry and all installed robots work together as an integrated unit to help simplify programming and operation. All known sensors for positioning can be integrated, even for the biggest components. Different designs, up to an additional W axis, are available as modular systems.
