ESAB Welding & Cutting Products has introduced the Swift Arc™ ML (mobile learning) system, a pre-engineered, fully contained robotic welding system for education and training. The system is designed to demonstrate, develop, and teach proper welding techniques, robot programming, and welding skills. Its mobile platform facilitates on-site training and transforms any space into a robotic welding training environment.

The cell comprises an Aristo® U5000i power source, KUKA KR6 900 robot and controller, touchscreen robot pendant, expandable cell walls, and interlock safety system. It features a steel tube frame with acrylic windows and heavy-duty casters for mobility.

The power source and wire feeder are designed to help minimize spatter and burn-through on thin materials. A TruArc Voltage™ feature provides accurate voltage information for critical welding. Other features include harmonized motion between the robot and external axes, open-architecture Windows® HMI, a PC-based controller, constant wrist orientation function, and electronic mastering for quick calibration.
