Training system teaches robotic welding

Lincoln Electric offers a mobile robotic welding education cell. With its collapsible, 2,000-sq.-in. workspace, the cell can be used in multiple classrooms and welding labs as a training tool, as well as transported to recruiting events to attract students to schools and their programs.

The welding cell supplements students' coursework in math- and science-based curriculums, including CAD, electronics, machining, and computer science and information technology.

The cell is mounted on wheels for portability. It includes integrated shielding gas bottle rack/storage, fume extraction system mounting, and integrated safety devices. Numerous software options are available from FANUC® Robotics.

The cell features the company's Power Wave® R350 welding power source, AutoDrive® 4R100 wire feeder, Magnum® PRO robotic welding torch, FANUC® ARC Mate® 50iC/5L, and SuperArc® L-56 welding wire.
