Welding machine rolls, seam welds perforated stainless cylinders

The MRL AFD SP welding machine from CEMSA S.p.A. is designed to be integrated in washing machine production lines. It provides rolling and further seam welding of perforated stainless steel cylinders.

To prevent flattening of the hole borders, the system wraps the flat, precut sheet metal around a cylinder and seam welds the wrapped sheet. The high welding speed allows completion of the operation, from loading the flat sheet to extracting the welded cylinder, in a few seconds.

The welding process is programmable, so that different conditions can be chosen along the welded line, such as reinforcing segments for further operations.
