3-D programming software for CNC press brakes also supports robotic bending applications

LVD Strippit offers CADMAN®-B 3D version 7.2 offline programming software for its PPEB and Easy-Form® series of CNC press brakes. It also supports robotic bending applications.

The software helps simplify the programming of complex formed parts by providing a virtual 3-D bending environment for preproduction engineering of the parts. It automatically determines the bend sequence, automatic gauging positions, and tool selection, all optimized for minimal tool stations and part turns. The bending program and tool setup data, as well as 3-D visualization images, are sent directly to the press brake control via a standard PC network.

The multiple machining function defines a bending program that can be stored, copied, and applied to other press brakes, helping to minimize programming and machine setup time.

Features include automatic splitting of tool setup and programs, automatic gauging functions, and parametric scaling.
