Automated tool-changing press brake stores tooling in the machine

Featuring automated tool-changing capabilities, the ToolCell 150-ton, 10-ft. press brake from LVD Strippit offers an integrated tooling storage housed in the machine. Tools are placed automatically, eliminating manual tooling adjustments. While the operator is preparing parts for the next job, the machine automatically unloads the previous tool setup and loads the next.

The press brake features the manufacturer’s patented Easy-Form® Laser (EFL) in-process adaptive bending technology to help ensure consistency from the first to the last part. The technology uses measurement at the front and back of the die to determine the exact value of the angle of the workpiece. The measuring devices transmit information in real time to the CNC, which processes it and subsequently adjusts the depth to obtain the correct angle. The bending process is not interrupted, and no production time is lost.

The press brake is offered with various configurable machine options, including stroke, open-height front supports, and sheet following units.
